How to Maintain a Rolling Mill

Rolling mill maintenance requires daily and regular attention. During daily operation, promptly clean scale and debris from the equipment surface and rollers to prevent them from entering the rolls and affecting rolling quality. Check for loose bolts and tighten them promptly. Pay attention to equipment lubrication and add or replace lubricants as required to ensure proper lubrication of bearings, gears, and other transmission components. Regularly inspect roll wear, measuring roll diameter and surface roughness. Replace or regrind rolls if wear exceeds the specified limit. Check hydraulic system pressure for stability and oil leaks. For electrical systems, check line insulation and component operating conditions. Perform a comprehensive monthly inspection of the equipment and a six-monthly in-depth maintenance program to replace wearing parts and calibrate sensors and instruments to ensure stable performance and extend the life of the rolling mill.
